The First DQ Community Picnic held last April 28, 2018 attracted hundreds of residents for an evening fun for all ages. The lively event was organized by Darraq and DQ Living Magazine in an effort to bring the community together and showcase Darraq properties.
Guests were greeted by DQ Living representatives and volunteers. Attendees spoke with representatives from Darraq luxury residential villas and apartments about the new accommodations available in the Diplomatic Quarter. True to Arabic hospitality, Arabic coffee, cakes, and desserts were served.
The Friends Band, led by Islam and Maqam, delighted the crowd with international hits and covers throughout the evening. Guests also enjoyed posing for photos at Fotobooth KSA.
Draft Cafe, which recently opened its newest branch in DQ’s Oud Square, served their famous specialty coffee drinks. FusHa Healthy Catering, based at King Faisal School in the DQ, kept adults and children happy with healthy snacks and popcorn.
Guests sustained their high energy with complimentary Oshee sports drink provided by Fitness Saudi. Fitness trainer Azheruddin talked with guests throughout the evening about fitness and personal training in Riyadh.
Bouncy castles, arts and crafts, and a clown from The Good Ship Lollipop kept children engaged and entertained. As the evening progressed, Marriott Hotel generously provided a dinner of burgers, shawarma, and hotdogs. Oregano pizza was also served to guests.
The organizing teams from Darraq and DQ Living were delighted with an abundance of positive feedback from guests throughout and after the event. They would like to give a special thank you to all the volunteers and participating businesses for their hard work and collaboration. The 1st DQ Community Picnic was a great success and we all look forward to the next event!
