Motivated to help children eat better and educate them about the importance of healthy eating, Noura Al-Bazaie came up with Fus:Ha, which is improving the healthy food culture in Riyadh.

Can you tell us about yourself?

I’m a mother of two boys, Majed and Sultan, who were my motivation to get into the healthy food business.

Why did you choose to open FusHa in the DQ and what makes the DQ special?

The DQ has been my home for 16 years now. When I had kids, I was lucky enough to find the best school for them just a few steps away from my door. King Faisal School is such a pioneer school and it seemed like the perfect start to such a special idea. The vibe of the DQ as a community is very much present in King Faisal School and that is part of what makes it special.

How have your customers reacted to Fus:Ha in the DQ?

Thankfully we were very well received from those who knew about us, we still feel that we need to reach out more to this beautiful community.

How is your business contributing to the Saudi Vision 2030?

The Saudi Vision 2030 has the theme “vibrant society” who are leading fulfilling lives, nothing more than health would get us to be vibrant and live our lives to the fullest. Health education needs to be taught from a young age to lower the numbers of diabetes and other diseases, and that is where Fus:ha comes in.

What advice would you give to other aspiring entrepreneurs at this time, in Saudi Arabia?

Hard work pays off! If you have a strong feeling about an idea and you execute it with care, passion and determination, you will reach your potential.

What are your future plans for Fus:Ha?

Fus:Ha is part of the Healthy Catering Group with a sister company called Hafla that brings the same healthy standards to your children’s birthdays and home celebrations. Our main goal is to make healthy clean, food that is reasonably priced and accessible to anyone who needs it.
