The Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh hosted a celebration in honor of the Saudi National Day for three days, from September 22 to 24, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the DQ’s Grassy Park right beside the newly-inaugurated MBC headquarter.
The event’s center of attraction was an entertainment area where various acts were taking place at specified time intervals. A clown and magic show was organized for the younger crowd while an ardha performance (traditional sword dance of Saudi Arabia) and musical performances delighted the adults.
The center stage was surrounded by benches, food and game stalls, pop-up stores, a mini-market, a Chuck E Cheese stall and more. Children lined up to try the games and volunteers were there to assist and help. The Chuck E Cheese mascot entertained the kids.
The event also had a dedicated area for horses. HRH King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the founder of Saudi Arabia, loved horses and and the passion for purebred horses and racing exists amongst the locals till date. Professional riders showcased a magnificent performance for the attendees and it was a mighty sight to behold.
The DQ’s Oud Square and CORE Riyadh also organized other activities in honor of the Saudi National Day.
