On October 14th, Club DQ hosted its inaugural “Empower Mornings” event at Circle 3 Cafe, welcoming members, diplomats, and distinguished guests. The session drew over 30 attendees who were engaged by talks delivered by Joel Huffman, CEO of Arabius, and Norah Al Sadoun of HiHome. Their perspectives on Saudi culture and entrepreneurship – spanning both local and expatriate viewpoints – provided valuable insights to the audience. Both of them shared the vision, challenges, and eventual successes of their endeavors, leaving learning points for the audience to take from.
Steering the session was Maria Cometti, the CEO of Sharakah Media, who moderated an interactive dialogue, entertaining questions from engaged participants. Notable dignitaries who graced the event included the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador Dya-Eddine Said Bamakhrama of Djibouti, Ambassador Ricardo Ernesto Cucalón Levy of El Salvador, and esteemed members of the Spouses of Heads of Mission-Riyadh, adding a touch of distinction to the gathering.
With a mission to foster professional development, cultural exchange, and networking opportunities for Club DQ’s members, the “Empower Mornings” event was a collaborative effort with Taiba Investments, and received generous support from Dur Communities, Circle 3 Cafe, Musa & Palm, Joe & The Juice, Parkers, Ba Ramdan Carpets and Handicrafts, and Al Nayfya for Exhibitions and Conferences.
