The Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh commemorated the first anniversary of Youm-E-Marka-E-Haq. This day in Pakistan’s modern history is known as a turning point that reaffirmed the courage of its armed forces, the resilience of the Pakistani people, and the unity of the nation.
On this special occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Ahmad Farooq, delivered a speech in which he highlighted the significance of Youm-E-Marka-E-Haq as a defining moment in Pakistan’s modern history and paid tribute to the bravery, professionalism and unwavering resolve of the Armed Forces in defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
“Today is not merely about remembering a military episode. It is about remembering a national spirit – a spirit of sacrifice, discipline, resolve and unwavering determination to uphold the sovereignty and dignity of Pakistan. From every province, every city and every community, Pakistanis stood shoulder to shoulder with complete confidence in their leadership and armed forces. This unity became our greatest strength,” stated H.E. Ahmad Farooq in his commemorative remarks.
Ambassador Ahmad Farooq also emphasized that Pakistan seeks peace, not conflict, and remains committed to dialogue, diplomacy, and regional stability. The ambassador expressed his gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its constructive and timely role during a critical year for Pakistan and praised the Kingdom’s continued support for de-escalation, dialogue, and regional stability.
H.E. Ahmad Farooq concluded his speech by paying tribute to the brave officers and personnel of the Pakistan Army, Navy and Air Force, whose professionalism and sacrifice remain the bedrock of Pakistan’s national security. “Above all, we honor the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq and salute their families whose courage and dignity embody the highest spirit of service to the nation. Their sacrifices remind us that Pakistan’s true strength lies not only in its defense capabilities, but also in the unity, resilience and unwavering resolve of its people.”
