Burj Rafal Hotel Kempinski is home to Resense Spa, a luxe spa company that is a global name for relaxation and beauty treatments. Located on the 6th floor, it boasts of a total of 1,420 square meters, accommodating both men and women in two separate spas. Each has their own wellness areas such as saunas, steam rooms and massage rooms. Their ladies’ spa in particular has gained a “must-try” reputation and with their recent addition of the HydraFacial MD® treatments, it’s sure to create more buzz than usual. I tried it for myself to find out.
The HydraFacial MD® is an advanced, award-winning, patented technology in facial skincare that cleanses, extracts and hydrates across all skin types. I learned that the HydraFacial MD® machine is exclusive to the Resense Spa alone and that they are the only one offering this treatment in the whole of Saudi Arabia. Looking through the list (and considering the limited time I have for that day), I took on the Booster HydraFacial MD® Treatment. The therapist led me to the facial treatment room that was doused in a lovely, calming scent that carried me unto a relaxed mode almost immediately. She showed me the machine and briefly explained how the device works. The HydraFacial MD® uses what is called a “4-in-1 Vortex Technology” wherein four different tasks can be done by the device by simply interchanging its tip and facial products to the treatment needed. I was told that it would be painless and less invasive than microdermabrasion or a diamond peel.
It started off feeling like a small vacuum was suctioning the parts of my face. Indeed, I felt no irritation or pain with each swipe of the device. It also felt a little cool in some parts as it was also infusing the facial products as it was cleansing and exfoliating my face. The extraction removed deep-seated impurities in my pores while simultaneously bathing them with hydrating serums. My face felt soothed and was glowing right after the 30-minute procedure. I took a closer look at the mirror to see the effects and they were undeniable. I think it’s time to say goodbye to painful pricking and hello to HydraFacials!
