While fasting may seem to be  difficult and tiresome for the body, it is an act of devotion for an entire month filled with great heartfelt joy and gratitude, a reminder that food is the means, not the end, of once-spiritual growth. Inevitably, Muslims observe this spiritual celebration, which becomes the mirror of our inner being, which empowers us with wisdom to appreciate the purpose of life.
