Al-Lith is a city in Saudi Arabia, located on the coast of the Red Sea. Al-Lith has attracted people looking for a quiet getaway, or an opportunity to experience the wonders of nature.

Reasons We Love Al-Lith

Crystal clear water and Jabal Al-Lith

Al-Lith’s beaches is a beautiful spot for sunbathing and swimming. However, there are only a few beach resorts in this area. AlAhlam Resort and Marina is one and it has ample facilities for guests looking for a Greek-inspired resort and a huge pool. It also has a café and a marina that caters to day trips to the sea for some snorkeling, fishing, and diving. A trip to the island 45 minutes away can also be arranged. The water near the area is turquoise and so clear!

The opportunity to see whale sharks and dolphins

It was a wonderful chance to see whale sharks in the waters of Al-Lith during a certain time of the year. We were lucky enough to spot one on our way to Jabal Al-Lith. The whale shark was feeding on some tiny prey when it was spotted and it started swimming around our boat. Whale sharks are considered the largest fish in the world. They gather in the water of Al-Lith during spring time. The boatmen we were with suggested we can go in the water and swim with it as whale sharks are known as the ocean’s gentle giants. We were able to see some dolphins too.

Natural hot water spring

It’s quite surprising to find out that there’s a hot spring in the area but the municipality of Al-Lith has turned it into a park which made the hot springs more accessible to all. The water of the hot spring flows into cemented streams and visitors can just sit in pathways and dip their feet and legs in the warm water. Wooden sauna huts were also available and it is truly hot! The hot spring park of Al-Lith has playgrounds and grassy spots for picnics.
