At the Larder Restaurant of Radisson Blu in the Diplomatic Quarter, don’t let their extensive buffet fool you – it’s all about healthy choices and quality.
The tall and spacious windows serve as elegant backdrop, to the superbly decorated and “warm” Larder Restaurant, offering the scenery of the hotel’s intricate landscaping. This extensive glasswork streams in the natural light and gives the diners a sense of lightness throughout the day.
Refreshments are offered upon seating, such as the Gingerade Detox and Watermelon Aquafresca among many others. You may choose to dine in the beautiful terrace beside the restaurant for an al fresco experience or eat in the indoor restaurant. Should you be arriving with your children, a welcome drink especially for them is offered as well. If they’d like, they can also enjoy at the Kid’s Lounge, where they can run and play with toys, video games and more.
The layout of the buffet area gives off a home kitchen vibe: the marble panels, wooden accents, and a countertop full of fragrant bread, butter and jam were just few of the things that made the space comfortable and familiar.
Leading the Kitchen Team, Chef Logan Carroll designed the Lunch Buffet menu to provide only the freshest and finest of ingredients for their diners. In the coming months, the Team will continue to add more healthy items to cater to the specific needs of their clientele in the DQ and beyond.
One of the Buffet’s sections is a “do-it-yourself” Salad Bar where staple ingredients are presented separately, including the condiments – again offering choice. Diners can pick their vegetables and mix their dressings to their liking. There are also sections featuring a salad selection that’s been already prepared with choices such as the Cobb Salad, Fish and Fennel Salad and a Citrus Salad. For the main course, there are five viands to choose from including meat, fish and vegetarian options. The roast beef that day was particularly stellar, so much so, that we had to go back for seconds. The kids enjoyed the sweet BBQ Chicken Wings and the Chicken and Prawn Noodles. For dessert, there were bite-sized cakes and pastries perfect to match with coffee or tea. Otherwise, they also have a selection of freshly cut fruits to cleanse off the palate.
