Embassy of Canada

Ambassador Jean-Philippe Linteau

“Since February 15, 1965, Canada has celebrated Flag Day when beloved maple leaf was first raised over Parliament Hill – a symbol of the country’s unity, peace, tolerance, and natural beauty. Canadians remain committed to our values of respect and inclusivity as we look to reinforce our partnerships with reliable partners, like Saudi Arabia. In this new world order, middle powers, such as Canada and Saudi Arabia must act together to build greater strategic economies in areas, such as energy, food security, critical minerals, finance and resilient supply chains. Vision 2030 is re-shaping the Kingdom’s economy and Canada recognizes this effort – a shared belief that long-term prosperity requires peace, stability, and innovation.”

For 18 years of national independence Kosovo has enjoyed friendly, supportive relations with all peace-loving countries. Our young Republic has established diplomatic relations with a great number of countries across the globe. This year we commemorate the 17th anniversary of the establishment of Diplomatic Relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with three agreements in customs matters, on air services, and waiving visas for holders of diplomatic, official, and special passports. There is an increasing inter-personal relation with a focus on the economy. There is more to come.”
