This significant event for the Saudi healthcare system, which is undergoing major transformation as part of Vision 2030, was inaugurated by Minister of Health, H.E. Fahad bin Abdulrahman Al-Jalajel, and honored with the participation of ministers, officials, and executives from prominent Saudi companies. The ministerial panel emphasized success stories and hopes for healthcare investment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in line with the Healthcare Sector Transformation Agenda.
In his edifying speech, the Minister of Health, H.E. Al-Jalajel, stated that “Investing in healthcare is a story to tell.” Citing figures, the Minister noted that the total investment value in the health sector is SAR 330 billion, and the contribution of the health sector to GDP is expected to increase to SAR 318 billion by 2030. In addition, the sustainability and evolving nature of health care delivery were among the key points at the ministerial panel.
In addition to the presentation of technologies and medical products, the three-day summit was complemented by a series of lectures and master classes from the best specialists in the healthcare system and business. The panel discussions allowed new and interesting ideas to emerge, while at the same time assessing how far the Saudi healthcare system has come since the start of its transformation and its contribution to global health development.
