The 70th Republic Day of India was celebrated on the Embassy of India, Riyadh with great joy and enthusiasm. Ambassador Ahmad Javed hosted the national flag and it was followed by the singing of the national anthem by the students of the International Indian Public School in Riyadh. The ambassador then read the President’s Message to the over 1500 members of the Indian community, friends, and officials of the mission present in the event.
On this occasion, Ambassador Javed also thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince HRH Mohammad bin Salman and the Saudi government for hosting a large Indian community in the Kingdom and ensuring their comfort and welfare.
Separately, a reception was held at the Cultural Palace with HRH Prince Faisal bin Bandar, governor of Riyadh, as the chief guest. This also hosted many Saudi officials, businessmen, scholars, diplomats from foreign missions in Riyadh, media and members of the Indian community in Riyadh and in neighboring cities.
