Tell us about yourself and what brought you to the DQ?
I am an Argentinian and Italian who has lived in nine countries and travelled to more than 60 so far. I am an energetic person that drives by connecting with new people and wants to visit every country in the world before turning 50!
Professionally, I’m proud to serve as the CTO at Zid.sa, a Saudi company that has a vision to help merchants grow in the world of commerce (online and offline). We are a good and localised version of shopify that also has a deep connection to all merchants and wants them to grow.
What are you most proud of accomplishing so far?
I’m my own toughest critic: always striving to improve and pushing myself beyond my perceived limitations. But there are two moments I’m genuinely proud of.
First, earning my Alumni status at Harvard Business School. It’s not just an academic achievement; it reflects my commitment to lifelong learning and growth, especially coming from a humble background in Argentina. Second, I take pride in creating opportunities for others—whether it’s funding a child’s education or helping someone reconnect with loved ones. For me, true success lies in the positive impact we make on others. Looking back, I see that life truly comes full circle.
What did you think of Riyadh/Saudi before coming here? Have your views changed?
I once saw Saudi Arabia as conservative and closed off, but that’s changed dramatically. Now, I consider myself as an ambassador for the Kingdom; I encourage people to visit. My parents are coming, friends are invited, and I’m excited to host more visitors who share my passion for exploring the country.
The Saudi people are incredible—warm, welcoming, and generous. They greet visitors with smiles, sweet tea, fragrant dates, and captivating stories. Their hospitality makes everyone feel like family.
When you have visitors in Saudi, where will you take them?
Edge of the World, AlUla, Kingdom Tower, and eat at Najd Village.
What do you like most about the DQ?
The ability to walk, the green, the wadi, the convenience of having a hospital, a pharmacy, 2 supermarkets, malls, and more. We even have a padel court to use!
What is something you wish the DQ had, but currently doesn’t?
I believe that having a centralized platform where everyone can access information about upcoming events, embassy activities, and other happenings in Riyadh would be incredibly valuable. Currently, it can be challenging to stay informed about what’s going on, especially when it comes to embassies and cultural events.
If you could host an event for DQ residents, what would it be?
Sharing food, stories, and traditions has brought our community closer, transcending borders. Through cultural potlucks, where people from different nationalities showcase their favorite dishes, we create a space for connection and learning.
Each gathering, whether it’s tasting new flavors or discovering fresh customs, is an opportunity to build bridges and foster meaningful relationships. With kids at the heart of it all, we ensure the next generation grows up with empathy, understanding, and a deep appreciation for our world’s diversity.
