The Embassy of Finland celebrated their 105th anniversary of independence. Built on trust, Finland participates in international dialogue and always seeks solutions through cooperation, making the country resilient and reliable partner to international cooperation.
On this special occasion, the newly appointed Ambassador, H.E. Anu-Erika Viljanen, hosted an exceptional evening and delivered a touching speech. “In my first months as Ambassador, I have found in Saudi Arabia what has always been dear to me in international cooperation: trust, energy, passion and compassion, and an openness to work together for good. I am so proud of the work we have already accomplished together for the benefit of our two countries.”
She also emphasized that the economies and trade sectors of the two countries complement each other and recalled the regular visits from both sides, including the visit of the Minister of Foreign Trade of Finland, Ville Skinnari’s visit to Riyadh, and Saudi Minister of Commerce, H.E. Majid Al-Qasabi’s visit to Helsinki. The Ambassador Viljanen also conveyed Finland’s compliments for the remarkable changes taking place in the Kingdom as the part of Vision 2030.
The representatives of the Saudi government, heads of missions, ambassadors, and business communities attended the celebration.
