On the 17th of February, DQ Living hosted an exclusive event for the leaders and partners of the Diplomatic Quarter called the DQ CIRCLE, in collaboration with the US Commercial Service, VFS Global, and Kayzo Restaurant.
Jim Golsen, Senior Commercial Officer and Counselor for Commercial Affairs for the US Embassy in Riyadh welcomed the crowd with his opening remarks followed by Maria Cometti, Chief Operating Officer of DQ Living Magazine and Sharakah Media – who highlighted the goal of the night’s event — which was to foster new relations with the community members of Diplomatic Quarter.
Over 80 distinguished personalities from the DQ and prominent business leaders were in attendance including the ambassadors of Portugal, Kenya, Djibouti, Singapore, Kazakhstan, and the Kyrgyz Republic; academic officers from British International School Riyadh; Dr. Jana Jabbour of Fena Al Awwal; Mrs. Botagoz Arynova, Mrs. Nazgulia Maripova, and Mrs. Hsiuyi Shen – members of the Wives of Heads of Mission, and other diplomats.
Mr. Sumanth Kapoor, Business Head for KSA and Bahrain, and Ahmed Afzla Khan, VFS Global General Manager for Passport Services and Business Development (KSA and Bahrain) were present along with their team as they met with the rest of the guests from the DQ.
Everyone was treated to the impressive catering flair of Kayzo, a Japanese-inspired restaurant that calls DQ its home. They served an array of scrumptious hors d’oeuvres which included sushi rolls, duck and wagyu bao buns, and gyozas. Elevating the evening’s ambiance further the presence of the live band called The Ellites, who played modern crowd favorites that certainly gave the guests a night to remember.
DQ Living would like to extend its thanks for the efforts and support of Carla Vanesa Menéndez McManus, Emily Gadacz, Joselyn Tello, Alexander Woodman, Hachem Photography, and the entire team in contributing to the success of the DQ Circle event.
